The paper builds on joint work by ActionAid and its local partners through the Women’s Land Rights (WOLAR) project, funded by the MDG3 Fund. It is informed by engagement of Southern African rural women’s networks and associations with the land grabbing issue. Also drawing heavily on field research in Mozambique, Malawi and Zambia carried out by Nidhi Tandon.
