Project Scope
Resource Equity is supporting its prime contracting partner – DAI – on this 5-year project that seeks to improve agricultural practices in southern Tajikistan and aims to improve land rights, tenure security, and land administrative services for rural households in the area.
To date, we have participated in a June 2021 in-country assessment of the prospects for land-based financing for short-term agricultural related loans (mortgage, land collateral), and conducted a 2022 series of in-country gender-related trainings.
Later in 2022, we will again travel to Tajikistan to undertake a “demand assessment,” focusing on smallholder demand for land registration services.
All of the work includes a significant component focused on women’s land and natural resources rights.
Project Timeline
August 2020 to present
